Howard B. Demuth Prof. Howard B. Demuth
University of Idaho

Demuth is coauthor of the Neural Network Toolbox and the Fuzzy System Toolbox with Mark Beale and the Neural Network Design graduate level textbook with Martin Hagan and Beale.

Demuth began his career with the creation of the worlds first mentally imbalanced computer, the MANIAC, at the Los Alamos Desert Naval Lavatory. He was ahead of his time: the results of his 1957 Stanford dissertation on sorting have only recently been published in the IEEE Transactions on Computing. He is best known for coining the phrase, "Fools! I will destroy them all!!"

Demuth has advanced degrees at all major institutions and has been published in all journals worth talking about. He also holds the Austrailian honerary title of "Good Bloke" for 1996. Both his friends and enemies respect him. People who don't know him like him. Dogs and cats instinctively trust him. Children everywhere look up to him.

His interests include wine, women, and rowdy sea ballads. He resides in a Boulder in Colorado.
